For 90 years, the JLS has promoted volunteerism in the Syracuse area. Since our founding, more than 100 agencies in Central New York have benefited from the JLS through the time and talents of our members and financial support. Many of the educational, cultural and philanthropic pillars of our community were originated or assisted through the dedicated efforts of the JLS, including:

• Discovery Center (today, The MOST)
• The Volunteer Center
• The 1st Prenatal Clinic
• The Erie Canal Museum
• McMahon/Ryan Child Advocacy Site
