Today, the JLS has approximately 350 active and sustaining members. We recruit new members each year. In addition to volunteer efforts performed on behalf of the JLS, our active members provide more than 8,000 hours of community service each year. Almost 60 percent of our members hold leadership or board positions in the community. Approximately 65 percent of the JLS membership works outside of the home. Training is a hallmark of the JLS. Our commitment to developing knowledgeable and productive volunteers to positively impact the community requires the empowerment of our members through effective training. In turn, our members develop skills in leadership, mentoring, management, fundraising and communications. Over 100 women, including an average of 15-20 new members per year, receive education and training annually through our leadership development program. The JLS is governed by a board of member directors and guided by a panel of community advisors. |

The JLS is a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI). A network of 293 leagues throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the United Kingdom. Over 170,000 women comprise the AJLI.
